Here is the news page of Whittier. Here they post local news stories as well as post gas prices of local gas stations as well as their addresses and local things to do. During the summer, Whittier has concerts in the park on Mondays and Thursdays, a great opportunity to do something free with friends and family.

There are many great places to go in Whittier! Whittier has their own Private Liberal Arts College that is a great college with small classes and a lot of history! And close to Whittier College is Uptown Whittier. Uptown Whittier has great little shops where you can buy clothes, or food, vintage items, or even go to the movies! Uptown Whittier also has a lot of history, and displays an old clock on the building on the corner of Philadelphia and Greenleaf adjacent to Starbucks and opposite from Rocky Cola Cafe (a cute diner). Whittier High School also has plenty of history to it and has tunnels and is the high school that you can see in the first Back to the Future movie. The Quad is by Whittier College and has restaurants, clothing stores, craft and sporting good stores, a laundromat, and grocery stores. The Whitwood Mall is along Whittier Blvd, a couple miles down the way from the Quad, and used to be an indoor mall, where they filmed the parking lot scene in the first Back to the Future Movie. The Whittwood Mall is now an outdoor mall and is an excellent shopping facility, Along Lambert there is a Greenway Trail where people can walk, run, or ride their bikes at every time of the year and is around 6 miles long. (I wanna say from the edge of Pico Rivera to Mills Ave)
