Weight loss

Weight loss, in the context of medicine, health, or physical fitness, refers to a reduction of the total body mass, due to a mean loss of fluid, body fat or adipose tissue or lean mass, namely bone mineral deposits, muscle, tendon, and other connective tissue. Weight loss can either occur unintentionally due to malnourishment or an underlying disease or arise from a conscious effort to improve an actual or perceived overweight or obese state. "Unexplained" weight loss that is not caused by reduction in calorific intake or exercise is called cachexia and may be a symptom of a serious medical condition. Intentional weight loss is commonly referred to as slimming.

Photo trickery (and, heck, photoshop) are how the models and celebs look so darn fabulous in their photos. Now you can do the same! This image (posted originally on explains it all. With a little fakery, you can look fabulous. Which, basically boils down to: "You're fabulous already. Ignore societal pressures." It's not healthy to be the size negative whatever that images show women as. In fact, so many of them are so Photoshopped as to be almost cartoonish. Bellies are digitally trimmed, legs thinned, and even skin tones are changed in post. The image above is an example without Photoshop, but has a similar result.

Many people are on the lookout for a great weight loss program because let's face it... Much of America is either over or close to overweight. We have so many goodies, and fried foods that it makes it hard to not gain weight. Not to mention that the fried and calorie galore foods are cheap while veggies, fruits and healthy foods are expensive. I am continuing my weight loss journey after doing a "biggest loser" program at my college a year ago. While continuing my weight loss I am always on the look out for good weight loss programs and helpful hints to lose more weight. I jus want you to beware of the scams that will tell you that there is no pill or substance that can take the place of exercise and eating right. Some may be helpful as including to the exercise and eating right but never just a pill will make you lose the weight and keep it off like a good diet and exercise.
