Toilet paper

Toilet paper is a tissue paper product used by people primarily for cleaning the anus and surrounding area of fecal material after defecation and by women for cleaning the perineal area of urine after urination and other bodily fluid releases. It also acts as a layer of protection for the hands during these processes. It is sold as a long strip of perforated paper wrapped around a paperboard core for storage in a dispenser near a toilet. Most modern toilet paper in the developed world is designed to decompose in septic tanks, whereas some other bathroom and facial tissues are not. Toilet paper comes in various plies or layers of thickness, from one-ply all the way up to six-ply, meaning that it is either a single sheet or multiple sheets placed back-to-back to make it thicker, stronger and more absorbent.

Back in the day Americans would use old catalogs as toilet paper. The holes and strings at the top of the Old Farmer's Almanac for example were made for consumers to hang and keep track of their books, but many opted for hanging them outside of outhouses.

Depending on your age, the restroom could be frequently visited. A major part of hundreds of people’s favorite room is the toilet paper. There are many kinds of toilet paper, the old traditional one ply and the more modern three ply are, interestingly enough, not considered opposites. Both kinds of toilet paper are very useful. First, they can do the normal restroom uses. Second, you can use the rolls to wipe up messes. Finally, they can be used for medicinal purposes such as bandages. The traditional one ply toilet paper has been around quite a while. It takes no energy to bind multiple plys together which makes it the cheaper choice. (Dependent on company for exact price.) The lack of multiple ply support means that it breaks easily and there isn’t a lot of air in the sheets. This means that you can have more squares per roll. Technology has brought us all the way now to three ply toilet paper. This ply is thicker and therefore puts more room in between whatever you are wiping further away from your hand,. Also, we now have multiple ways of sticking the plys of toilet paper together. Quilting is one of the best ways to do this. It makes just enough harder to tear that three ply toilet paper is the ideal choice for tee-peeing houses or making mummies. The most important thing about toilet paper is absorbency. No matter what, all plies absorb the same amount of materials or grabs onto the same substances. Focusing onj liquids only though, the three ply wins out. Technology rules alot in our world and it is no different in the restroom. Three ply toilet paper is the obvious best choice for your everyday and Halloween needs.
