Therapy

Therapy (often abbreviated tx, Tx, or Tx) is the attempted remediation of a health problem, usually following a diagnosis. In the medical field, it is usually synonymous with treatment (also abbreviated tx or Tx). Among psychologists and other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, counselors, and clinical social workers, the term may refer specifically to psychotherapy (sometimes dubbed 'talking therapy'). The English word therapy comes via Latin therapīa from Greek: θεραπεία and literally means "curing" or "healing".

Hippotherapy

Hippotherapy is a form of equine assisted therapy that aims to treat those with disabilities. It is a growing form of treatment for physical, emotional, and social disabilities. The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International and the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association focus on using horses to aid these individuals. Horses can help anyone from a child who can not walk or talk, a young adult who has become depressed and anxious, and even an adult with Cerebral Palsy. Horses do not discriminate. Just being near a horse can provide comfort.
