Taco soup

Taco soup is a type of soup composed of similar ingredients to those used inside a taco: ground beef, tomatoes, chopped green chilis, olives, onions, corn, beans and a packet of taco seasoning. Vegetarian versions combine beans with the other ingredients, except for the ground beef. Once cooked, the soup may be topped off with cheese, sour cream, raw onions, avocado, or tortilla chips

This soup is a quick, easy, and an affordable fix for dinner. It feeds a lot and it is also easy to freeze if it is not all eaten the first day/night. Some things that I have changed over the years to my personal taste would be that I add my own choice of a can or bottle of beer to cut the tomato taste and use green beans instead of green chiles because it can get pretty spicy for little ones. It is also really good paired with cornbread, oyster crackers, crunchy tortilla strips, a dollop of sour cream and/or a dash of Tabasco or Frank's Red Hot Sauce depending on what your pallet calls for best.
