Introverts are often looked down on and seen as different than the majority of the population in the United States. As a introvert myself I have had to deal with the obligatory social outings when I would have been much happier curled up on the couch with a good book. It doesn't matter whether someone is an introvert or and extrovert, everyone has a voice and should be allowed to feel comfortable being who they are.
