Sketch (drawing)

A sketch (ultimately from Greek σχέδιος – schedios, "done extempore") is a rapidly executed freehand drawing that is not usually intended as a finished work. A sketch may serve a number of purposes: it might record something that the artist sees, it might record or develop an idea for later use or it might be used as a quick way of graphically demonstrating an image, idea or principle.

clothing sketches

These are a few of my sketches, I have a binder full of them. I do my sketches when Im in a creative mood or when Im in a boring class haha. I sketch all the time in my classes but there normally small so i can fit them on the side of my notes. oh and some of my sketches have faces and some dont, I also dont know how to draw hands so i mostly leave them out. the outfit to the far right is the back view. please let me know if you want me to put up more of my sketches or not.( if it might be something your interesting in seeing)

Crazy realistic sketch of Emma Watson, time-lapsed to 5 minutes with some techno funk music playing. The sketch actually took 3 hours. This would take me my whole life to sketch, so that's pretty impressive, I think.

We all know what happens when you're drawing with a graphite pencil, and you've accidentally run your hand over your work....IT SMUDGES! Yes, you can be strategic and start from the top left corner and work your way down ( Right handed people) to prevent this, but even that has its flaws. The easiest solution that I've discovered to prevent smudging is soooo simple....Ready??....WAX PAPER!!!....Yep, that's right! Good old fashioned Wax Paper is PERFECT for this dilemma! You just keep it under your hand while you draw, and you're as good as gold :)
