Sauce

In cooking a sauce is a liquid, cream, or semi-solid food served on or used in preparing other foods. Sauces are not normally consumed by themselves; they add flavor, moisture, and visual appeal to another dish. Sauce is a French word taken from the Latin salsa, meaning salted. Possibly the oldest recorded European sauce is garum, the fish sauce used by the Ancient Greeks; while doubanjiang, the Chinese soy bean paste is mentioned in Rites of Zhou in 3rd century BC.

I am from Utah where fry sauce originates so I am very accustom to this delicious sauce but I often go out of town to Las Vegas or California and when ever I go out to eat and ask for fry sauce I always get a funny look followed by "fry sauce? What is that?" So I thought I'd share this delicious creation.
