Solar Roadways

SOLAR. ROADWAYS. This is not sci-fi. This exists. There is a working prototype, and eventually, solar panels could take the place of all roads, parking lots, paths, etc. They can be replaced individually as they break. And they would be a major source of clean energy! If that's not enough, they're heated so the roads would literally clear themselves of snow and ice. The LED lights can change to warn drivers of things in the road (like animals and children) and alter lanes as necessary. And so much more! Click the link, and watch the first video for an overview!
