Visual Encyclopedia

Polyvore was a community-powered social commerce website headquartered in Mountain View, California. The company's virtual mood board function allowed community members to add products into a shared product index, and use them to create image collages called "Sets". They could also browse other users' sets for inspiration, share sets with friends and interact with people through comments and likes. Due to the visual nature of the tool Polyvore was mostly used to build sets in the fields of home decoration, beauty and fashion. Online retailers, too, could upload their product images to Polyvore and link back to their product pages or use Polyvore to encourage users to showcase their products through such activities as board creation competitions. Polyvore opened an office in New York City in August 2012. At that point the company said it had amassed 17 million active users. By the end of 2012 the company said its site was receiving 20 million unique visitors per month, a number which continued to be used in 2016. The site was bought by SSENSE and, on April 5, 2018 it was completely shut down.

This is another set that my sister made a long time ago. Im not so sure how well I like this together. She called this set classic glam. I just noticed that you can see where each piece in the set is from and how much they cost. The dress was from forever 21 and was $15. The sandels were from amazon and were $19. The necklace was also from forever 21 and was $9.80. and the umbrella is from artistgifts and was $35. I think its a pretty awsome umbrella in my opinion.

This is another set my sister made a long time ago on polyvore. I was surprised to see this as one of her sets because she hates pink, especially bright pink. but thats bascially the theme of this one. hot pink and black. I noticed that these post arent showing the picture

I really like the shell background on this set my sister made a long time ago. Also this is an outfit I think I would actually wear. and I like how she designed and set up this collection here.

This is another set that my sister made a long time ago. This one is all about lace. I dont think I would wear this outfit together but I do like the pieces separately. I espesially like the dress in this set. Just so you know I realized that the pictures are not showing up

I think that the way my sister designed this set makes it look kind of hip and different. Because of the black quotes in the background and making the outfit so simple but with a lot of color. I like this outfit but I dont think I would be bold enough to wear it.

My sister loves to snowboard and to be honest I do to. Its really fun even though Im not very good at it. Well this is another set that my sister made on polyvore and as you can tell this is a mens outfit. I think a guy would look cute wearing this going snowboarding although I think they would need a coat and snow pants or they would be freezing
