There are numerous bicycle polo circuits and bicycle polo events in the United States. This form of the sport is mostly found in the north-east region. The bikes used in such events are augmented to have handles that are very close together, so the player can steer with their left hand and have the mallet in their right. The mallets I've seen used are simply standard foot mallets, or the 30-or-so inch practice mallets.

In all standard polo games in the United States, chukkars are 7 and a half minutes long regardless of being on the field, or in an arena. Typical arena matches have 4 chukkars, and field matches almost always have 6. The only reason that a match on the grass would be cut short and only consist of 3-5 chukkars would be due to bad weather.
