Oval Office

The Oval Office is the official office of the President of the United States. It is located in the White House.

The room features three large south-facing windows behind the president's desk, and a fireplace at the north end. It has four doors: the east door opens to the Rose Garden; the west door leads to a private study and dining room; the northwest door opens onto the main corridor of the West Wing; and the northeast door opens to the office of the president's secretary.

Meaning behind carpets

The Oval Office has two different versions of carpet which mean two different things. If the head of the eagle is facing olive branches, it means the US is at peace. If the head faces arrows, the US is at war. The US has not declared war since 1941, even though we have been involved in numerous conflicts.
