Mathematics is the most amazing contribution to human kind. It helped make music possible because of fractions for strings making the G and A cords. Mathematics is all around us, even before the discovery of it. Flowers follow the Fibonacci Sequence to a key; their petals only come in numbers found in the Fibonacci Sequence. Mathematics has been used for thousands and thousands of years by the Greeks, Egyptians, and other ancient civilizations in order to build the pyramids, the Parthenon, and most likely the Eastern Island heads. Mathematics is the most amazing contribution ancient civilizations and nature has given to us in order to understand the current world. It needs more credit.

Most trig students are forced to use a calculator or memorize parts of the unit circle before they get to learn about function approximation from calculus. But the simple function (1-(x/pi)^2)^(1/2) can be used to transform radians into a Y value. -(1-(x/pi)^2)^(1/2) can be used for odd values to get the negative part of sine functions.

The apps being created now are completely amazing! What I wouldn't have done to have this type of technology in middle school! To make it even better, the app works with decimals, roots, powers, and simple linear equations! Now if only it could help me with my calculus homework!
