LinkedIn (/ˌlɪŋktˈɪn/) is a business- and employment-oriented service that operates via websites and mobile apps. Founded on December 28, 2002, and launched on May 5, 2003, it is mainly used for professional networking, including employers posting jobs and job seekers posting their CVs. As of 2015, most of the company's revenue came from selling access to information about its members to recruiters and sales professionals. As of April 2017, LinkedIn had 500 million members in 200 countries, out of which more than 106 million members are active. The "gated-access approach" (where contact with any professional requires either an existing relationship or an introduction through a contact of theirs) is intended to build trust among the service's members. LinkedIn participated in the EU's International Safe Harbor Privacy Principles.

Is anyone ever creeped out when they see that they have a profile view...from someone you don't know and shouldn't really be looking at your profile? I certainly am. This article talks about this "stalker problem" on LinkedIn, why it happens, and what people want changed in the privacy policy--particularly one woman who has a repeat viewer.

An article comparing two social media management dashboards, TweetDeck and Hootsuite.

Use an editorial calendar using Google Drive or a simple Excel file and plan out your posts for 1-2 months. Then, copy the posts to a service like Hootsuite that allows you to schedule your posts in the future. That way, each day you're not scrambling to find something to post.

As a social media manager (intern), I suggest upgrading hootsuite (a free social media management program) to the 9.99 Pro version. With that version, you can see your follower analytics/metrics and upload multiple posts at once with the "bulk scheduler," among other features. I don't work for them, I just like saving time. If your boss is strapped for cash, just upgrade it four times a year and schedule your posts in quarters.
