A great quote from the Facebook page for ScreenwritingU: "If there’s specific resistance to women making movies, I just choose to ignore that as an obstacle for two reasons: I can’t change my gender, and I refuse to stop making movies." - Kathryn Bigelow Kathryn Bigelow has a point, and it's a sad fact that women are quite the minority when it comes to making films. For this reason above all, it's important for women who want to make films, whether it's writing, directing, producing, etc, to really stick to that goal and not be pressured by an overwhelmingly male workforce to do something else. Women have a voice in this industry. Let's do what we can to prove to Hollywood that this is a voice that needs to be heard.
