Israeli–Palestinian peace process

The peace process in the Israeli–Palestinian conflict refers to intermittent discussions held during the ongoing violence which has prevailed since the beginning of the conflict. Since the 1970s, there has been a parallel effort made to find terms upon which peace can be agreed to in both the Arab–Israeli conflict and in the Palestinian–Israeli conflict. Some countries have signed peace treaties, such as the Egypt–Israel (1979) and Jordan–Israel (1994) treaties, whereas some have not yet found a mutual basis to do so.

Muslims and Jews Hold Joint Iftar Meals for Ramadan Fast

Jewish families were hosted by Palestinian families for a post-fast meal in Jerusalem. Most of the guests had never even met the hosts Bronka and Aref Tahboub prior to the event. The meeting was organized by Kids4Peace, a grassroots organization that brings together Muslim, Christian and Jewish children in Jerusalem. The population in Jerusalem is 2/3 Jewish and 1/3 Arab and the meetings have continued despite more than a year of tensions. I love where Bronka says "We are all humans and I wanted to share the good precious holy moments of Ramadan with other people. Everyone has a different view...we need to share...to remove the anger and the sadness in the area."
