Heliskiing

Heli-skiing is off-trail, downhill skiing or snowboarding that is accessed by a helicopter, as opposed to a ski lift. As early as the late 1950s helicopters were used in Alaska and Europe to access remote terrain, but the birth of heli-skiing as a commercial sport is attributed to Hans Gmoser in 1965.

I live in Colorado and skiing is very popular in our wonderful mountains we have!! It is very neat to see skiers get dropped off at the top of 14ers to ski all the way down. Those skiers get to ride down un touch power at up to 14,000 feet in elevation. Seems to have a big adrenaline rush, but you get the spectacular view of the mountains!
