Han Nolan's eloquent style of writing brings to light a world of struggle and perseverance. From a girl who overcomes her life struggles through singing in Born Blue, to a brilliant pairing of a Nazi girl experiencing the life of a Jew while in a coma in If I Should Die Before I Wake, Nolan's memoirs are definitely underrated.
