Greek life originates from the days of secret societies. Though secret societies still exist, Greek Life makes the experience accessible to all. By going through a "speed-dating" process referred to as "rush" or "recruitment", boys and girls are matched up with a group of people with which they best fit in. Greek life offers many opportunities to get involved, ranging from social fraternities and sororities to religious or academic fraternities and sororities. All are beneficial to the college experience, and a person can find whatever he or she is looking for in one of the types.
