Real life Gilmore Girls reference

In Season 6, Episode 20 of Gilmore Girls, Lorelai saves the birthday party Luke is throwing for his daughter April when she leaves work and heads to the diner to work her magic. However, since the party is a bust and Luke is out of ideas (he had none to begin with), Lorelai tells him to get his clock radio and turn on KC 101. This is an actual pop radio station in CT, and furthermore one that a bunch of teenage girls would definitely enjoy listening to. As a CT native, TV and film buff, and Gilmore Girls addict, I thought this realistic anecdote was pretty neat!
