I took this photo while in France in 2012. The weather was quite stormy during my visit, but the Eiffel Tower was still breathtaking. I was also looking at facts online and discovered that the height of the Eiffel Tower varies by 5.9 inches (15 cm) due to temperature changes. Pretty cool, huh?

View looking up through the trees from a corner cafe that rests right near the feet of the Eiffel Tower. The Tower lights up once it becomes dark, acting as a beacon to see all the way up and down the river. A light show occurs on the hour from dusk until 1am, which the tower lights sparkling in and out for 10 minutes each time. A beautiful sight to wrap up a day touring Paris! I think the view is even more impressive at night. I took this shot in Sept. 2013. As a note, if you climb the steps to the second level and ride to the top from there, it saves a few euros, but more importantly, you avoid the long lines. Plus, it's good exercise!
