Dungeons & Dragons (abbreviated as D&D or DnD) is a fantasy tabletop role-playing game (RPG) originally designed by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson. It was first published in 1974 by Tactical Studies Rules, Inc. (TSR). The game has been published by Wizards of the Coast (now a subsidiary of Hasbro) since 1997. It was derived from miniature wargames with a variation of Chainmail serving as the initial rule system.

This is a live demonstration of D&D 4th edition (Otherwise known as D&D 4e) done by the makers of one of the most popular webcomic in America, Penny Arcade. The two main members of the group Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik are joined by Scott Kurtz and actor Wil Wheaton to play a game that has been going on for 7 seasons now. Their dungeon master is Chris Perkins, who was one of the head designers of D&D 4e and. The event is a great ride for everyone and a very enjoyable way to get to learn the system.
