The first prototype of the Doritos was made at the Case de Fritos restaurant at Disneyland in California. It was made using extra tortillas, cut up and fried with a basic seasoning added to it for flavor. The Doritos ended up selling so well that their production left Disneyland and began in their own factory in Tulsa.
