Chocolate Chip Cookie in a Cup Author: Melissa @ No. 2 Pencil Recipe type: Microwave Dessert Prep time: 5 mins Cook time: 1 min Total time: 6 mins Serves: 1 Chocolate Chip Cookie in a Cup – the original microwave cookie recipe Ingredients 1 Tablespoon Butter 1 Tablespoon Granulated White Sugar 1 Tablespoon of firmly packed Dark Brown Sugar 3 Drops of Vanilla Extract Small Pinch of Kosher Salt 1 Egg Yolk (discard the egg white or save for different recipe) Scant ¼ of All Purpose Flour (slightly less than ¼ of a cup) 2 heaping tablespoons of Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips Instructions Start by melting your butter in the microwave. Butter should just be melted, not boiling. Add sugars, vanilla and salt. Stir to combine. Separate your egg and add the yolk only to your cup. Stir to combine. Add flour, then stir again. Measure a scant, slightly less than full, ¼ cup of all-purpose flour. Add the chocolate chips, and give a final stir. Now your mixture will look like cookie dough. Cook in microwave 40-60 seconds, start checking for doneness at 40 seconds. Mine takes 50 seconds. Do not cook past one minute, just like a regular cookie, this will continue cooking as it cools. If the cookie is dry or cake like, try less time. Serve warm.

You can make tasty cookies using the Pillsbury Funfetti cake mix. Mix the entire bag with 2 eggs and 1/4 cup of vegetable or canola oil. Mix it until it makes a soft dough. Separate the dough into small 1/2-1 inch balls and place them on a greased cookie sheet. Spray cooking spray on the bottom of glass or cup and gently press down each of the cookies to give it a flat top. Put the cookies in a 375 degree oven for 6-8 minutes. You can find this recipe on the internet, but there is something that they don't tell you. When you pull the cookies out, they will look like they are not done. However, this is because you have to leave the cookies sitting on the pan for 10 minutes so that they can cool and stiffen up. This will make sure that they turn out right! :)

Cookies are delicious! But everyone knows that. What everybody doesn't know is that cookies can also be used to help save lives. Cookies for Kids' Cancer is a charity organization that supports pediatric cancer research. It was started by a loving mother who unfortunately lost her young son to cancer. She, however, has continued to run the non-profit. The business itself sells cookies and donates all the proceeds to cancer, but they also encourage people all over the country to hold bakesales in which all the proceeds go to the charity. Anybody can hold a bakesale and its a fun way to help out. Plus there are a bunch of yummy recipes to try! Cookies really are amazing!
