A casserole (French: diminutive of casse, from Provençal cassa "pan") is a large, deep dish used both in the oven and as a serving vessel. The word is also used for the food cooked and served in such a vessel, with the cookware itself called a casserole dish or casserole pan. Not to be confused with the word "Cacerola" which is Spanish for "cooking pot".

Tater Tot Casserole

INGREDIENTS 2 lb tater tots (thawed) 2 cups sharpcheddar cheese, shredded 3 eggs 1 12 oz. Can creme of chicken soup 12 oz sour creme 1 cup milk 2 cups crushed cornflakes DIRECTIONS Mix everything except cornflakes evenly in a baking dish. Cover top in cornflakes and bake at 375 F for 40 minutes or until browned. Serve and enjoy!
