CNA stands for "Certified Nursing Assistant". To become a CNA 75 hours of training is required. A CNA has one of the most active jobs within a facility, whether it be a assisted living facility, hospital, in home care or rehabilitation unit. Why? Because the CNA has the most contact with the resident/ patient at all times! A CNA's job ranges from: making/changing bed sheets, assisting restroom use, changing briefs, feeding/ delivering food, transporting with wheelchairs, checking vital signs, grooming and hygine of the patient/resident, visiting, charting, answering call lights and keeping up with yourself as well. A great job for those who enjoy helping others live thier lives:)
