Breastfeeding, also known as nursing, is the feeding of babies and young children with milk from a woman's breast. Health professionals recommend that breastfeeding begin within the first hour of a baby's life and continue as often and as much as the baby wants. Older children feed less often. Mothers may pump milk so that it can be used later when breastfeeding is not possible.

You know that us human beings are the only mammals that drink milk into adulthood, and are also the only species of mammal known to drink the milk of other species.

I am about to be a new mom and would really like to breastfeed. I am currently about to start nursing school and this is about the same time I'm going to have my baby. It's going to be a challenge to make both things work especially while breastfeeding. I'm up for the challenge and I found that this article was helpful because it gives you the basics on breastfeeding. I don't think that you can have enough information on this topic.
