Body painting

Body painting, or sometimes bodypainting, is a form of body art. Unlike tattoo and other forms of body art, body painting is temporary, painted onto the human skin, and can last several hours or many weeks (in the case of mehndi or "henna tattoos") about two weeks. Body painting that is limited to the face is known as face painting. Body painting is also referred to as (a form of) "temporary tattoo"; large scale or full-body painting is more commonly referred to as body painting, while smaller or more detailed work can sometimes be referred to as temporary tattoos.

I actually think this is really cool

I'm a professional face painter, which means I did this myself. I've been working since I was 14 and still don't have enough money to go to college. I need all the help I can get! Thumbs up for talent!!

Guess Which One I Am?

*CoughCough* CHESHIRE CAT My senior class held an Alice-in-Wonderland themed winter dance, and I had to go all out!! (I also had a perky fuzzy tail you can't see in the picture). I did the whole costume myself, including the face paint. Took me about 45 minutes- it should have been shorter, but I was nervous I'd make a mistake. In this picture, I'm trying to make the creepiest face possible, which is why my expression is so weird!

Tiger Face Paint

One day, my mom announced that all five of us kids would go to the circus as a 'field trip' (we're homeschooled). My little brother was giddy, and wouldn't stop talking about how pumped he was to see his first circus. The day of, I got up early and crept to his room to surprise him. I've run a face painting booth several times before for other events, and I knew how much he loved face paint. So, I offered to paint his face for the carnival. He almost screamed. When we got there, they were charging to paint faces- and the tiger faces? Kinda lame. Yellow faces with smears of white, a black dot for the nose, and quick sloppy lines for the stripes. He was very glad I did his makeup instead! My brother had a blast and so did I.
