Athletic scholarship

An athletic scholarship is a form of scholarship to attend a college or university or a private high school awarded to an individual based predominantly on his or her ability to play in a sport. Athletic scholarships are common in the United States, but in many countries they are rare or non-existent.

To get an athletic scholarship you first have to make the college or university know that you are interested in that school and sport (whichever sport it may be). Second you need to gather information that makes you look good to present to the sport's coaches and staff such as video of you playing or running times. Third you should communicate with the coaches about your interest in the sport and the scholarship and go to one of the tryouts or camps that the sports usually offer.
