There's a specific form of ancient greek used mainly in the bible. It is called koine greek, and is close to the greek used in modern days.

Ancient (or 'Attic' as it was so named after antiquity's cultural center, Athens) Greek was one of the first ancient languages to be implemented in a heavily literate society. Many works written in this language contain the standard binaries of modern literature (i.e. good vs. evil, patriarchal vs. matriarchal, etc.).
