Aladdin

Aladdin (/əˈlædɪn/; Arabic: علاء الدين‎, ʻAlāʼ ad-Dīn, IPA: [ʕalaːʔ adˈdiːn]) is a folk tale, probably of Middle Eastern origin. It is one of the tales in The Book of One Thousand and One Nights ("The Arabian Nights"), and one of the best known—but it was not part of the original Arabic text, being added in the 18th century by the Frenchman Antoine Galland.
