TLC was an R&B group that formed in the early 1990s They promoted safe sex and empowering women & young girls.Their signature baggy clothing and frank lyrics was a response to the double standards in the music industry. Male artists faced little scrutiny for foul lyrics, video vixens, and baggy outfits, but women seemed to be held to a higher standard.
