Again, another post on twins--this one actually real. My interest was piqued after reading the Sussle paragraph about the influence of the medical experimentation during Nazi Germany on the making of The Human Centipede. Yes, The Human Centipede takes the experimentation to an extreme, but I still find the connection fascinating.

Not quite as disturbing as the story line in the Human Centipede, but Creepy Pasta can get pretty close at times. I think it's interesting looking at the connection between the experiments performed in concentration camps in Nazi Germany (this story is obviously wildly exaggerated and fictional, but even fiction has roots in reality, right?) and the grotesque experiment forming the premise of the movie.

Stubborn creatures. If you've ever owned a husky, you understand this.

I could definitely do without the melodramatic History Channel narrator, but I would love to see eggshell carvings in person. As an artist, I can certainly imagine the frustration and ages of practice it would take to perfect *not* shattering or poking through the eggshell in the wrong place.

It's truly incredible how much someone can do with such simple tools. Art will never cease to amaze me.

This is thought-provoking.
